 Lucy Kibaki Out of Control First Lady Lucy Kibaki slapped an official who introduced her as Lucy Wambui at a Jamhuri Day function at State House, Nairobi.The principal administration secretary in the Office of the President, Mr Francis Musyimi, was the master of ceremonies at the function at State House Gardens where Mr Kibaki was giving honours to a number of Kenyans. "Your excellency, President Mwai Kibaki, First Lady Mama Lucy Wambui......." Mr Musyimi said. At that point, In full glare of camera's,diplomats and other dignitaries, a fuming Lucy stood from the high table and furiously walked to the MC as the invited guests and the President watched in apprehension and Lucy was not about to cut short her mission - she slapped the MC and must have used her nails as the MC got a cut on the lower eyelids. Immediately after the drama, Mr Musyimi was led away by security agents. His position was taken over by the head of the civil service, Mr Francis Muthaura. |

 Awori launched this book!! Some colleagues of the former Eastern Africa Freemasons District Grand Master, Sir Andy Jayantilal Chande, have published his writings and speeches on Freemasonry and its various orders. The new title is called "Whither Directing Your Course". |

Lucy Muthoni Kibaki is the controversial wife of Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki. She was born in Mukurwe-ini in the 1940s to Rev. John Kagai and Rose Nyachomba, in the Central Province's Mount Kenya. She was trained as a teacher, and elected principal of a teacher-training college in Kiambu. She first met Mwai Kibaki in 1960 and were married in 1962. Mwai and Lucy have one daughter, Judy Wanjiku, and three sons, Jimmy Kibaki, David Kagai, and Tony Githinji. She is patron on the Kenya Girl Guides Association.
